The Rangeley Lakes Region is well known for its fine fishing. Fishermen enjoy fighting land locked salmon and squaretail trout of our lakes and of the many fine streams and rivers throughout the area. These fish are taken by fly and trolling and give the fishing enthusiast the thrill of a lifetime. A short run from many docks will take you to the best fishing spots on Rangeley Lake, Mooselookmeguntic Lake, and other smaller lakes and ponds. Some bodies of water are restricted to fly fishing only, to a limit on the size of motors, as well as no motors allowed.
Welcome Grants Camps are located behind a controlled gate where you can still find the Old Fashioned hospitality of a Sporting Camp .Your stay includes 3 homecooked meals a day and housekeeping services so you can have plenty of time to Fish,Swim,Hike,Boat or just plain relax in the Western Mountains of Maine . Many of our guests come back year after year. Some come for the exceptional trout and salmon fishing on our lakes and rivers. Some bring their families to enjoy the natural beauty, peaceful atmosphere and the friendly, unhurried charm of camp life... and some just come to get away from it all, paddle a canoe, see a moose or a loon, go for a hike or just lay in a hammock and read a good book.

Fishing Camps : Niboban Camps Rangeley
Rangeley Lake is famous for trout and land-locked salmon. One of the more productive fishing grounds is just off our 3000' of lake frontage. The regular fishing season starts after ice-out (about mid-May) and ends September 30th. General law applies in Rangeley Lake. To ensure success for your fishing, we recommend the services of a Registered Rangeley Guide, for at least a day. Registered Maine guides are available upon request. Guides work independent of Nibòban Camps, but we can assist you in arranging for their services. Niboban Camps are located in Rangeley Plantation on the south shore of Rangeley Lake adjacent to Rangeley Lake State Park. Our location over-looking the lake and the western Maine Mountains beyond is very private. Each of our newly built two-bedroom rustic cabins has central heat, a full bath and a great room with full kitchen facilities.
