Calais & Eastport Areas :

Calais, Eastport, Dennysville, Lubec, Pembroke & Woodland

any interesting and enjoyable place can be found round the Calais area as day trips. There are many lakes and rivers where you can find canoeing, kayaking, powerboating and seaside beaches. There is deep sea and freshwater fishing available, and hunting in season. Chartered tours are available for those wishing to see puffins, seals or whales; most seagoing tours are based out of Jonesport or Cutler. Well marked trails for the hiker, birdwatcher or nature lover abound. There are many homes on the National Register of Historic Places, Holmes Cottage in Calais and Burnham Tavern (c1770) in Machais, to name two. Lighthouses dot the coast including Whitlock's Light just down the road. Calais is on the International border with New Brunswick, Canada, where many attractions can be found. Below are some of the attractions in our area. We hope you'll enjoy the best Maine has to offer!
