The Crocker House Country Inn, tucked away on the peninsula of Hancock Point, was built in 1884 and carefully restored in 1986. Its quiet, out of the way location, fine cuisine and individually appointed guest rooms, each with a private bath, all combine to make the Crocker House a refreshing and memorable experience. Since purchasing the Inn in 1980, we have strived to create an environment that is comfortable and rejuvenating. Perhaps the most extraordinary feature of the Inn is its cuisine. While breakfast is reserved for our guests, the dining room is open to the public for dinner.

Rivendown Farm Cottage is a former artist's studio which has been completely rebuilt and refurbished into open concept living. A restful, quiet, and scenic spot for singles or couples who have stress filled lives, this cottage is ideal for rejuvenation during their time away from the "rest of the world". Visitors to the cottage, located on a hill overlooking the Machias River, will enjoy the changing tides as well as the tranquil and peaceful setting of a meadow filled with wildflowers leading down to the river. From the shore, one can view clearly the village of Machiasport across the Narrows with its church steeple and historical harbor area, including Liberty Hall. Guests may partake in forested areas on the 30-acre property, trails, blueberry fields, a duck and geese nesting area, eagles and hawks, a shoreline walk, native apple trees, kayak/canoe launch and swimming. This location provides fresh air, "at your own pace" existence, solitude, blueberry picking for fresh muffins (in season), cooking your own lobster feast, and sweet water Owned and Operated by: Hugh and Beverly Tailor
