Hike our many trails (including the famous "Appalachian Trail") that lead to scenic overlooks, spectacular gorges, towering pine forests ! For anglers, there is incredible backcountry fishing for salmon and brook trout up to five pounds..! Our 9 lake front, newly renovated, guest log cabins accommodate between 2-8 people. All have sky lights, picture windows facing the lake, screened porches, hardwood floors, wood stoves with plenty of dry firewood, gas lights, gas ranges and refrigerators, cooking and eating utensils. Beds have "new" firm mattresses with fresh linens and blankets. Each cabin has at least one double bed, and the larger cabins have a separate bedroom for privacy. Wilderness Edge Campground, formally Hidden Springs , is under new management and offers 32 RV camping sites and 70 tent sites on the Millinocket Lake / Baxter Park Rd just north of Millinocket. It is now owned by Larry & Anna Hallett of Millinocket. It is the perfect Place to Camp when visiting Baxter State Park and Mt Katahdin .
