Family Vacations at Loon Lodge include hiking, canoeing, kayaking, or just plain relaxing. We have short day hikes to interesting destinations. We can take you on any river trip including The Allagash Wilderness Waterway, the Machias River, The Fish River Chain or The Aroostook River. You can choose a slow leisurely trip with some fishing and camping on the side or come directly down the river to a previously decided destination. If you only want a one or two day trip, there are several lodges, motels, etc., in the area that cater to sportsmen. .Fish for muskies during your trip to Northern Maine. Fishing is done on the St John and its tributaries. You will fish with one of the foremost muskie fishermen on the St. John and his guides. Fishing is done from canoes with your choice of gear. We can handle up to a party of six with two fishermen per canoe. Fish for Maine’s newest sport fish with us! Different pricing options are available for your trip.
Canoe and Kayak day trips are available from our lodge. These are a full day or half day outings for your friends and family. Instruction is available as well. These are easy flat water trips for all ages.
